Taufik is a filmmaker, photographer, and PhD candidate in media history at Hiroshima University. His research and his craft feed each other: the discipline of the historian shapes how he builds a documentary, and the eye of the filmmaker shapes the questions he asks as a scholar.

He works across long-form documentary, brand and heritage film, and editorial photography — always with a documentary sensibility and a respect for the material record behind each story.
